How it is different from a form and a spreadsheet
A spreadsheet is accurate on the day someone updates it. Opalis is accurate because the roster IS the club — students join through it, meetings are scheduled in it, and attendance is taken in it, so the record maintains itself as a side effect of the club running.
Student data and privacy
Opalis serves minors, so the answers are direct. Every school's data is isolated: faculty and administrators see their own school and no other. Opalis does not sell student data and shows no advertising. Students can request deletion of their own data from inside the app. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

How much does Opalis cost for a school?

Is Opalis safe for students under 18?
Opalis is built for high schools, so minors are the expected user rather than an edge case. Blocking is enforced across every shared surface, every report is reviewed by a person, and each school's data is isolated from every other school's.
Does the school have to import a student list to get started?
No. Students create their own accounts and join clubs themselves, so the roster builds from real participation. Administrators can invite faculty and set up the official club list without an import.
Can faculty advisors take attendance with Opalis?
Yes. An advisor opens a meeting check-in, students confirm with a link or a code, and attendance is recorded against the roster — which is what feeds participation reporting and service hours.
What do school administrators get that advisors do not?
The campus console: participation across every club, club renewals and approvals, a school-wide calendar, people management, reports and service hours. Advisors see their own clubs; administrators see the whole campus.
Does Opalis sell student data or show advertising?
No to both. There is no advertising anywhere in Opalis and student data is not sold or brokered. The privacy policy states exactly what is collected and why.
